How are you able to provide $80 of groceries for every $10 that I donate?

Manufacturers, distributors, packagers, growers and retailers donate much of the food we distribute. And because we have a large volunteer contingent we are able to process and sort that food at a minimal cost, leaving overhead and transportation as our main costs. Through extensive auditing, it has been determined that we can get groceries to our neighbors for about 1/8 of what it would cost to purchase an equivalent amount at retail.
